Meen Bishwakarma Reiterates: There Are Two Chairpersons in the Congress Party

March 16, Kathmandu – Nepali Congress leader Meen Bishwakarma has once again asserted that there are two chairpersons within the party. After receiving various reactions to his recent statements, Bishwakarma posted a lengthy status on Facebook Tuesday night, reaffirming his claim.
“While the claims of both sides are still under court consideration, stating that the party currently has two chairpersons may sound unpleasant to some supporters, but until the court issues its verdict, this remains the legal, technical, and political truth,” Bishwakarma wrote.
He also presented his views in 13 points. Among them, he noted that he has observed objectionable comments on social media regarding his recent remarks.
“I have no complaints about this because, at that time, speaking like this for party unity would inevitably have drawn similar grievances from other factions. I am not disheartened,” he said. “If we start blaming each other for the party’s current situation, hurl abuses at fellow comrades, and indulge in self-praise, we will only fall deeper into conflict and controversy.”
Bishwakarma claimed that despite the recent electoral loss, the Nepali Congress, with its 80 years of experience, is far from finished. “One must accept the results once involved in the process. Just as I previously took the lead in uniting everyone under the tree symbol for party unity, I am committed to working again towards broader party unity,” he added.
