March 16, Kathmandu – Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed gratitude to the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) for their support in ensuring a peaceful election process.
Prime Minister Karki invited UML leadership to Baluwatar to convey her thanks. Accordingly, UML leaders Ishwar Pokharel, Pradeep Gyawali, and Mahesh Bartola visited Baluwatar.
The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for their role in facilitating a peaceful environment conducive to a successful election.
“The only viable option to resolve this difficult situation was the election conducted peacefully. Remembering our national responsibility, you played a supportive role and actively participated in the election. I cannot express enough thanks and want to convey my heartfelt gratitude,” she stated.
She also advised the UML leadership not to be discouraged by the election results, whether victory or defeat.
“A single vote does not determine the permanent position of any party. We have witnessed ups and downs for parties even during the tenures of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Indira Gandhi in India. Politics is a continuous campaign, so please continue to work on issues concerning the country and the people,” Prime Minister Karki added.
In response, UML leaders congratulated and thanked the Prime Minister and her government for conducting the elections peacefully while satisfying all parties.
They expressed gratitude for leading the country during challenging times and for providing an inclusive, peaceful, and democratic resolution.
The UML leaders praised the administration’s impartiality during this election and acknowledged the campaign as healthier, more peaceful, and less costly compared to previous elections.
