March 16, Kathmandu – The US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, was attacked using drones and rockets. According to news agencies Reuters and AFP, multiple drones and rockets were used in the assault on the embassy.
Security sources in Iraq told AFP that among the attacks carried out in recent days, this was the most serious one so far.
Approximately six hours before the attack, the embassy had issued a security alert for American citizens residing in Iraq.
The security alert stated, “Iran-backed terrorist militias have been conducting a series of attacks in the International Zone of Baghdad.”
There are no details released yet regarding any damage caused by this attack. The US Embassy in Baghdad was also targeted in a similar attack last week.
