March 19, Pyuthan – A laborer lost his life after being struck by a tipper truck in Padawang, Ward No. 8 of Pyuthan Municipality. The tipper truck, bearing the registration number Ra 1 Kha 1839, was transporting stones from Luplung to Bangdula when the incident occurred on the Adheri–Damti road section.
The victim, 37-year-old Ashok Pariyar from Bhaluwang, Ward No. 1 of Rapti Rural Municipality in Dang, was working as a laborer in Pyuthan. Authorities confirmed that he died instantly at the scene following the collision.
Police have taken the tipper truck and its driver into custody for further investigation.
