Bishwaprakash on Gagan’s Resignation: Managing the Situation is the Primary Moral Duty

March 18, Kathmandu – Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma announced that he will propose rejecting the resignation of Party President Gagan Thapa during the upcoming Central Committee meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Friday.

On the eve of the meeting, Sharma responded via X on Thursday regarding President Thapa’s resignation, indicating that a proposal to reject the resignation will be presented.

“Taking moral responsibility is a positive step. However, the foremost moral obligation at this time is to manage the situation,” Sharma wrote. “During the meeting, an initial review, the resignation letter, and the proposal to reject the resignation will be presented.”

Vice President Sharma also remarked that it would be unjust to blame someone who has worked to extinguish a fire for causing it.
