Nepali Congress Central Working Committee Meeting Scheduled for Today

March 24, Kathmandu — The Central Working Committee of the Nepali Congress is convening today (Tuesday).

The meeting is scheduled for 1 PM at the party’s central office located in Sanepa, Lalitpur.

Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa will participate in the Central Working Committee meeting for the first time following the recent House of Representatives elections.

He was absent from the sessions that began last Friday. The meeting held on Sunday rejected President Thapa’s resignation.

After the party suffered a humiliating defeat in the election, Thapa submitted his resignation, which was subsequently rejected, prompting him to call for a new committee meeting.

The agenda for today’s meeting includes a review of the election results and discussions regarding the party’s 15th general convention.
