
Toparaj Sharma, an online journalist based in Butwal, was honored by the Rupandehi Hatbazar Business Association in recognition of his contributions to journalism. Sharma received the award during the association’s 10th general assembly, with Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Chief Khelraj Pandey presenting the certificate of appreciation.
Association President Humaram Pokhrel shared that there are 122 operational marketplaces in Rupandehi, involving around five thousand businesspeople. The event held on Chaitra 16 in Butwal acknowledged Sharma’s efforts in advocating for the rights and addressing the challenges faced by small business owners through his journalistic work.
Toparaj Sharma was formally recognized by Khelraj Pandey, Chief of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, and Humaram Pokhrel, President of the association. Sharma has been actively engaged in journalism for over two decades. Speaking at the occasion, Chief Pandey highlighted the vital role that the marketplaces in Rupandehi play in supporting farmers by facilitating the sale of their produce.
