Home Minister Sudhan Gurung Discusses Strengthening Border Patrol with APF Inspector General

Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has issued directives to tighten border patrols to the Armed Police Force (APF) Inspector General, Raju Aryal, and his team. Comprehensive discussions were held concerning necessary preparations for disaster management, risk reduction, resource management, and coordination. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung met with a delegation led by APF Inspector General Raju Aryal. During the meeting, he instructed tightening of patrols along the border areas. Extensive dialogue took place regarding the essential preparatory measures for effective disaster management. Strategies to mitigate potential disaster risks, resource allocation, and coordination were among the key topics discussed, according to the minister’s secretariat. Minister Gurung also mandated special attention to the control of illicit smuggling.
