29 Killed in Russian Military Aircraft Crash in Crimea

A Russian military AN-26 aircraft crashed into a mountain in Crimea due to a technical malfunction. All 29 people on board, including six crew members and 23 passengers, have died. Contact with the plane was lost at 6 p.m. local time on Tuesday, and rescue teams later discovered the wreckage at the crash site.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the AN-26 aircraft crashed because of a technical failure. The deaths of all 29 individuals on board have been confirmed. Following the accident, search and rescue operations located the debris.
