March 31, Kathmandu – US President Donald Trump has revealed serious plans for America to potentially exit the Western military alliance, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). In an exclusive interview with the British magazine The Daily Telegraph, Trump issued a stern warning that such a drastic step could be taken after NATO member countries failed to support US military operations against Iran.
President Trump described NATO as a “paper tiger” and stated that the US has reconsidered its participation in previous defense agreements. He has long questioned NATO’s reliability and noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin is well aware of the alliance’s weaknesses. Analysts suggest that the neutral stance of European nations in disputes with Iran has prompted the White House to consider severing ties with NATO.
