Extensive Search Underway for Escaped Boar from South Korean Zoo Involving 300 People

In South Korea, authorities launched a major operation last Wednesday to locate a boar that escaped from a zoo. The search effort involved more than 300 participants and utilized thermal cameras and drones. The incident occurred at the zoo in Daejeon, a city in the central region of the country, where the two-year-old male boar managed to flee by crossing a ditch along its escape route.
Thermal imaging footage provided by the Korean Wildlife Conservation Association showed the boar moving toward a wooded area adjacent to the zoo, a detail confirmed by news agency Reuters. The President of South Korea has expressed hopes that the boar does not cause any harm to people during this time.
