
A 25-year-old man named Binod Danuwar from Jhapa’s Kankai Municipality-4, Kotihome, has died after falling from a tractor carrying fertilizer. Danuwar was taken to Kankai Municipal Hospital and then to B&C Hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries, police reported. The tractor driver, 30-year-old Raju Nepali, has been taken into police custody.
On 1st Vaisakh, in Kotihome area of Kankai Municipality under Jhapa, a fatal incident occurred involving a fertilizer-loaded tractor. The tractor bearing registration number Ko 2 Ta 7497 was traveling from Durgapur towards Maikhol with 15 workers engaged in fertilizing when Binod Danuwar, the co-driver of the tractor and a resident of Kankai Municipality-1, fell and was seriously injured.
According to Santosh Rai, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Danuwar fell from the tractor around 2 PM on Monday. He was initially taken to Kankai Municipal Hospital in Surunga and later referred to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for further treatment. Unfortunately, he passed away last night during treatment. The tractor driver, Raju Nepali, aged 30 and from Kankai Municipality-1, has been detained by the police.
