Dramatic Rescue of Lion Fallen into 9-Meter Deep Well in Gujarat Village

A lion that had fallen into a nine-meter deep well in Somnath district of Gujarat, India, was dramatically rescued. After villagers reported the lion’s fall into the well during the night, the forest department dispatched a rescue team. Using ropes, the team successfully pulled the lion out alive.

After the rescue, the lion was taken to a wildlife health center and later released back into the forest. The site, located near Gir National Park, is known for frequent lion sightings.
