This editorial summary is prepared after a review. The poem narrates the story of Angi’s dreams lost in her eyes and the unchanged color of her gaze over time. The flower-patterned bag left by Asyang is filled with tears, neglect, and struggle, and today it sets off on a farewell journey over the pyre. Although the new year and seasonal changes bring new life to nature, the poem expresses that the color of Angi’s eyes remains unchanged. Lost within her own light, a flickering lamp of hope—the long, exhausting night has suddenly gone out!
Within Angi’s blurry eyes lie salt-colored dreams, like a solitary moon lost within the clouds, vanishing into vast chilly settlements, scattered in gusts of wind! Each year a new year arrives in Angi’s courtyard after earth completes one rotation. Seasons change and spring hangs over the fields, clouds sighing deeply as they descend to meet the earth. Even strands of milkweed and coriander leaves have grown anew, but unchanged, unchanged remains the color of Angi’s eyes!
What year, what season? Much time has passed since Asyang left—that sorrowful flower-patterned bag! Filled with tears, neglect, and struggle, that very bleak flower-patterned bag, without resting, climbed rugged slopes, traveled tens of kilometers, and today, unexpectedly and without asking Angi, departed via the path across the pyre, never to return! Today is the day to see the mother’s face! (Chief, Area Police Office, Sijuwa)
