April 20, Kathmandu – Two immigration officers have been removed from their duties after they imposed a work ban annotation on the passports of travelers going to Dubai on visit visas.

According to Immigration Department spokesperson Tikaram Dhakal, the officers were relieved of their responsibilities at Tribhuvan International Airport and are currently under investigation.

They had stamped the words “Employment is strictly prohibited” on the passports of these visitors holding visit visas to Dubai.
