
Directed by Kumar Gajurel, the narrative film ‘Sarathi’ is currently in production, with its auspicious ceremony held at Bhadrakali Temple. The filming will take place over approximately 40 days in Gurja Khani village, Magdi district. Actor Uttam Pradhan will join the shoot starting from the 15th of Baisakh. The film is being produced by editor Tara Thapa under the Kimbe Production banner, marking the return of the Niruta Singh and Uttam Pradhan pairing on screen after two decades in Bollywood.
Following the auspicious ceremony on Monday, the film crew departed for Gurja Khani village in Magdi district, nestled in the lap of the Dhaulagiri Himalayas, where the shooting will be conducted. Tara Thapa expressed her commitment to presenting an excellent story through this film. The production is a collaboration between Kimbe Production and Dheeraj Infinity Films, reviving the on-screen pairing of Niruta Singh and Uttam Pradhan.
Actress Niruta Singh participated in the inauguration ceremony, while Uttam Pradhan is preparing to join the shoot after arriving from India to Nepal. The ceremony was attended by film professionals Lakshminath Sharma, Prakash Sayami, Manjunath Shrestha, and Deepp Bahadur Chhantyal, advisor of Chhantyal Association, as honored guests. The cast also includes Mukund Shrestha, Samranta Thapa, Giri Bishwakarma, Gayatri Joshi, Madan Thapa, Milan Khadka, Rashmi Gurung, Tulsi Rai, and Asha Bishwakarma. Sauryal Thapa is the producer, with Radip Shrestha and Pradeep Rai Maji serving as executive producers.
