Nepal Secures Third Victory in ICC Women’s Challenge Trophy

The Nepalese women’s cricket team recorded their third win in the ICC Women’s Challenge Trophy by defeating Rwanda by 38 runs. In the match held on Tuesday, Nepal set a target of 104 runs, and Rwanda was all out for 65 runs in 17.4 overs. Mary Bimenimana scored the highest for Rwanda with 19 runs.

For Nepal, Manisha Upadhyay delivered a remarkable performance, taking 4 wickets while conceding only 10 runs in 4 overs. Kavita Kunwar, Rachana Chaudhary, and Riya Sharma each claimed 2 wickets. After winning the toss, Nepal chose to bat first and scored 103 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Indu Barma top-scored with an unbeaten 33 runs.

Nepal has previously defeated Rwanda as well. The team lost twice to the United States and were defeated by Vanuatu after defeating Italy. Currently, Nepal has earned 6 points from 6 matches, with remaining games against Italy and Vanuatu yet to be played.
