Raju Aryal Retires; Narayandatt Paudel Assumes Command of Armed Police Force

April 30, Kathmandu – The outgoing Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Nepal, Raju Aryal, was respectfully farewelled in accordance with tradition. The newly appointed Inspector General, Narayandatt Paudel, hosted a special ceremony at the headquarters in Halchok on Friday, handing over a token of affection as they bid farewell to Aryal. During the occasion, Aryal officially transferred the baton of leadership along with the flag of the Armed Police Force Nepal to Paudel, formally entrusting him with the organization’s command. Aryal also dedicated full responsibility of the organization to Paudel.

At the farewell event, Aryal reflected on reaching the highest level of a security organization responsible for citizen safety and successfully retiring as a significant and prideful achievement in his life. He expressed that viewing the Armed Police Force as a family provided him with the opportunity to learn the true essence of discipline, sacrifice, honesty, and leadership. He also conveyed gratitude towards those who offered support, cooperation, and energy throughout his service tenure.

In his remarks, the new Inspector General Paudel stated that a life dedicated to national security never truly retires. “This is only the conclusion of one chapter and the beginning of another responsible journey,” he said.
