April 8 (Baisakh 25), Kathmandu – The Department of Commerce, Supply, and Consumer Protection fined three business firms after discovering violations of the law during market inspections.

On Friday, the department inspected 23 shops and firms across Kathmandu and Lalitpur, issuing cash fines to three establishments.

According to the department, Seiz in Ward 31, Shankhamul, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, was fined NPR 10,000. Likewise, Sat Saheb Cosmetic Store located in Kathmandu-32, Sahayogimarg, and Chand Beauty Collection Center in Kathmandu-10, Baneshwor, were each fined NPR 10,000.

Additionally, the department instructed Lifestyle Apparels Private Limited in Sadobato, Lalitpur, to appear within three days with business-related registration, license, tax clearance, and purchase-sale bills.

The other 20 shops and firms were issued general warnings. These include marts, suppliers, cosmetic shops, grocery stores, and trading companies.
