April 9, Kathmandu – Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa is set to depart for Dhangadhi today. He will inaugurate the ‘Provincial and Local Level Focused Provincial-Level Gathering’ being organized there.
This will be Thapa’s first visit to the home province of Deuba, Sudurpashchim Province, after the special general convention. Prakash Rasaili ‘Snehi,’ a co-general secretary stationed in Dhangadhi for preparations related to the gathering, provided this information. Thapa is scheduled to arrive in Dhangadhi via an 8 AM flight.
Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma arrived in Dhangadhi on Friday, while General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire reached there on Thursday to attend the gathering.
The provincial-level gathering is planned to run for two days. The decision to organize this gathering was taken at the meeting of the Central Policy, Research and Training Institute held on April 6.
According to a leader from the provincial working committee, Provincial Chairperson Veer Bahadur Balayar and District Chairperson Narayan Bhatt will not be participating in the event.
