Grand Musical Performance by ‘Pramod and Parampara’ in Panchthar Featuring Silam Sakma Presentation to Pramod Kharel

Singer Pramod Kharel and his band ‘Pramod and Parampara’ delivered a grand two-hour musical performance in Yasok Bazaar, Panchthar. Thousands of spectators attended the event, which was electrified by chants of “once more, once more” following each song. Pramod Kharel shared his heartfelt connection with the Limbu community and informed the audience about the Silam Sakma honor bestowed upon him by the locals.

The program, held at the local football ground, started at 11 PM and continued until 1:30 AM. The band continuously performed their popular songs for two hours, creating a lively atmosphere with the audience dancing and enjoying throughout. Band members had arrived in Yasok earlier that afternoon. It was reported that the group reached the venue after approximately four hours of uphill travel through Dharan, Dhankuta, and the Tamor Corridor.

After the event, singer Kharel expressed gratitude toward the audience. He recounted his experiences within the Limbu community during his singing and mentioned that his ancestral home is in Taplejung, where his father was born. He also emphasized his deep, heartfelt bond with Limbu culture. Pramod highlighted the remarkable enthusiasm and energy shown by the audience during the show.
