Australia Announces ODI Squad for Series Against Pakistan and Bangladesh

April 28, Kathmandu – Australia has announced its squad for the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Oliver Pick, the captain of the Under-19 team, has been included in the squad for the first time. Despite limited domestic experience, his outstanding talent earned him a place in the national team.

Regular captains Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc have been rested for this tour. Due to the ongoing Indian Premier League in India, they will be unavailable for the Pakistan tour and will receive rest ahead of the Bangladesh series. In their absence, Mitchell Marsh will captain the ODI side.

All-rounder Liam Scott, who has been performing consistently well in domestic cricket, has also received his first national team call-up.

The three-match ODI series against Pakistan is scheduled from May 31 to June 4, followed by another ODI series against Bangladesh from June 9 onward.

Australia is resting some key players while giving opportunities to emerging talents as part of their preparation for upcoming major tournaments.
