Kushang Sherpa, a bus assistant driver, has been arrested in Ekantakuna, Kathmandu, for allegedly punching a passenger. He was taken into custody in connection with the bus bearing the registration number Ba 5 Kha 6840. Navaraj Adhikari, SSP of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, confirmed Sherpa’s arrest and stated that he has been handed over to the Lalitpur District Police Office.
The arrest followed widespread circulation of the video on social media, prompting immediate action from the traffic police. Kushang Sherpa, 26, hails from Salpa Silicho Rural Municipality-4 in Bhojpur. SSP Navaraj Adhikari said, “Sherpa, a resident of Sukedhara, has been detained and forwarded to the Lalitpur District Police Office for further legal proceedings.”
