Cooperative Victims Surround Bagmati Province Cooperative Registrar’s Office Demanding Action

Cooperative victims surrounded the Bagmati Province Cooperative Registrar’s Office on Wednesday. Led by the National Federation for the Protection of Cooperative Savers, the victims demanded that 16 cooperatives be declared problematic. Despite repeatedly pressuring the office to return their savings, their demands have not been addressed, leading to expressions of frustration.

April 13, Kathmandu – Victims of cooperatives gathered to surround the Bagmati Province Cooperative Registrar’s Office on Wednesday under the leadership of the National Federation for the Protection of Cooperative Savers. Victims from Deurali Cooperative and others pressed the office to declare the cooperatives problematic and ensure the return of their savings. They specifically requested that 16 cooperatives within Bagmati Province be officially declared problematic. Despite repeated protests at the office, their demands remain unaddressed, causing them to express anger towards the staff.
