Pushp Prasad Sitoula Elected President of Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs Federation

April 13, Pokhara – Pushp Prasad Sitoula has been elected as the president of the Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs National Federation. He secured victory by obtaining 903 votes. His closest competitor, Harisharan KC, received 464 votes, resulting in a margin of 439 votes deciding the outcome. Prior to his election as president, Sitoula served as the senior vice president.
According to the election committee’s published results, the three senior vice president positions were won by Sanukaji Prajapati with 589 votes, N Kumar Sai with 584 votes, and Kedar Prasad Paudel with 571 votes. The seven vice president seats were filled by Chandra Ojha, Atmaram Sharma, Tekraj Pant, Kamalraj Mitra, Kanchhaman Bal, Jit Bahadur Bharti, and Ram Prasad Suvedi. Yadav Lal Shrestha was elected as the cargo vice president with 76 votes.
Dhananjay Gautam was elected as general secretary with 698 votes. The three deputy general secretary positions were secured by Devendra Shrestha, Bhanubhakt Baral, and Pradeep Singh Khadka. The three secretary roles were filled by Umesh KC, Chet Prasad Gautam “Arjun,” and Tank Prasad Gyawali. Rajesh Acharya was elected treasurer with 596 votes. President Sitoula expressed his commitment to working at a policy level to enhance the public transport sector. He also announced plans to implement GPS and e-ticketing systems in public transportation.
