After meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, US President Donald Trump referred to him as a “great leader.” The two engaged in talks that lasted nearly two hours. Trump described the discussions as “magnificent.”

During his official visit to China, Trump received a grand welcome from the Chinese side. As the talks began, Chinese state media reported that Xi warned of possible “conflict” with the US over Taiwan. However, Trump did not disclose whether Taiwan-related discussions took place.
