
May 15, Kathmandu – According to the foreign currency exchange rates set by Nepal Rastra Bank for today, the buying rate of the US dollar stands at NPR 152.93 and the selling rate at NPR 153.53. Similarly, the European Euro’s buying rate is NPR 179, with a selling rate of NPR 179.71; the UK Pound Sterling’s buying rate is NPR 206.60 and selling rate NPR 107.41; and the Swiss Franc’s buying rate is NPR 195.60 while the selling rate is NPR 196.37.
The Australian Dollar’s buying rate is NPR 110.73 and selling rate NPR 111.16, Canadian Dollar buying at NPR 111.46 and selling at NPR 111.90, Singapore Dollar buying at NPR 120.10 and selling at NPR 120.57. For the Japanese Yen, the buying rate for 10 units is NPR 9.69 with a selling rate of NPR 9.72, while the Chinese Yuan’s buying and selling rates are NPR 22.54 and NPR 22.63 respectively. The Saudi Arabian Riyal’s buying rate is NPR 40.76, with a selling rate of NPR 40.92, and the Qatari Riyal is bought at NPR 41.95 and sold at NPR 42.12.
According to the central bank, the Thai Baht’s buying rate is NPR 4.73 and selling rate NPR 4.75, UAE Dirham buying at NPR 41.64 with a selling rate of NPR 41.80, Malaysian Ringgit’s buying rate at NPR 38.90 and selling at NPR 39.05. The South Korean Won for 100 units is bought at NPR 10.25 and sold at NPR 10.29. The Swedish Krona’s buying and selling rates are NPR 16.40 and NPR 16.46 respectively, while the Danish Krone is bought at NPR 23.96 and sold at NPR 24.05.
Nepal Rastra Bank has set the Hong Kong Dollar’s buying rate at NPR 19.52 and selling rate at NPR 19.60. Kuwaiti Dinar is bought at NPR 499.20 and sold at NPR 501.16. The Bahraini Dinar’s buying and selling rates are NPR 405.49 and NPR 407.08 respectively, while the Omani Riyal’s buying rate is NPR 397.22 and selling rate NPR 398.77. The Indian Rupee’s buying rate for 100 units is NPR 160 and selling rate NPR 160.15.
The central bank stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. Exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates can be accessed on the central bank’s official website.
