May 16, Kathmandu – Organized by Tipto Sports Academy, the ‘Three-on-Three Football Clinic and Championship 2026’ will be held on May 16 and 17 at the Tipto Sports Hub located in Seshmati, Tarkeshwor Municipality, Kathmandu.
Established in 2021, the academy has contributed to sports development through grassroots football, increasing youth participation, and conducting various training programs and competitions.
As part of the event, Japanese national-level player Yasuhiro Nabeta will visit Nepal and train local players through clinic sessions.
On May 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., three-on-three football clinics (training sessions) will take place, followed by the tournament on May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Approximately 150 players from various academies and schools, spanning U-12, U-14, and U-16 age groups, are expected to participate in the clinic. Meanwhile, 32 teams in the U-14 and U-16 categories will compete in the championship.
The competition will be conducted in a knockout format. Each team will have five players, with three playing on the field and two as substitutes.
Organizers have stated that winning and participating players will be awarded certificates, medals, and trophies.
