May 15, Kathmandu – Gagan Thapa, president of the Nepali Congress, expressed his belief in the importance of dialogue and discussion during a program held in Kathmandu on Friday. Speaking at the event, he stated, “We believe in discussions, we believe in dialogue,” adding, “We trust face-to-face debates and we also have faith in evidence.”
He explained that change does not happen abruptly or on a large scale all at once. “We believe that change through policies, rules, and laws, as well as improvements in systems, do not occur suddenly or massively,” he said. Emphasizing that all these elements are part of an “ecosystem,” Thapa highlighted that the process is gradual and sequential.
