
Three individuals have died by drowning in different parts of the country, including residents of Sarlahi, Mahottari, and Dang. In Sarlahi’s Malangwa Municipality-2, near Jhanda Bazar, a four-year-old girl named Sunita Prajapati drowned in a pond. In Mahottari’s Loharpatti Municipality-8, 12-year-old Nausad Rain drowned in the Bighi River, while in Dang’s Rajpur Rural Municipality-1, 60-year-old Pune Roka Magar also lost his life due to drowning.
1 Jestha, Kathmandu: According to the Central News Desk of Nepal Police, three people have died from drowning in Sarlahi, Mahottari, and Dang. Sunita Prajapati, the four-year-old daughter of Balmiki Pandit from Parsa, drowned in a pond near Jhanda Bazar in Malangwa Municipality-2, Sarlahi. She was brought to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa for treatment on Friday morning but unfortunately died during the course of treatment, according to police reports.
Similarly, in Mahottari’s Loharpatti Municipality-8, 12-year-old Nausad Rain, son of Rajabul Rain from the same area, drowned in the Bighi River on Friday afternoon. Suffering from drowning-related complications, he died while undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Janakpur.
In Dang’s Rajpur Rural Municipality-1, 60-year-old Pune Roka Magar, who lived near Gurungkhola, drowned while bathing in the Gurungkhola River on Friday afternoon. The police have stated that necessary investigations regarding the incidents are ongoing.
