Nepali Congress Central Policy, Research and Training Institute Forms 12 Subcommittees

The Central Policy, Research and Training Institute of the Nepali Congress has formed 12 subcommittees. These subcommittees will work on various issues including land management, disaster management, mental health, information technology, and election reforms. The institute has also established a five-member committee led by Madhu Acharya to develop a code of conduct. Kathmandu, May 18.
The meeting chaired by the institute’s Vice Chairperson Vishwaprakash Sharma discussed four different topics and formed the subcommittees accordingly. Acting Chief Secretary Krishnaprasad Dula informed that 12 members of the institute have been assigned the responsibility of coordinating these subcommittees in the initial phase.
The subcommittees and their coordinators are as follows:
1) Special Campaign on Land Management Subcommittee, Coordinator – Dr. Gopal Dahit
2) Disaster Management Subcommittee, Coordinator – Man Bahadur Thapa
3) Mental Health: Awareness Campaign Subcommittee, Coordinator – Mohana Ansari
4) Information Technology and Digital Governance Subcommittee, Coordinator – E. Dipesh Bista
5) Election System Reform: Concepts, Dialogue and Coordination Subcommittee, Coordinator – Janak Chatout
6) Infrastructure Development Concepts, Dialogue and Vision Subcommittee, Coordinator – E. Amrit Gyawali
7) Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Employment Subcommittee, Coordinator – Khagendra Acharya
8) Education and School Policy and Vision Subcommittee, Coordinator – Dr. Krishnaprasad Paudel
9) BP Knowledge Center Subcommittee, Coordinator – Prakash Lamichhane
10) Awareness Campaign Against Ethnic Discrimination Subcommittee, Coordinator – Eliza Dhakal
11) Digital Awareness and Fact-Checking Subcommittee, Coordinator – Prakriti Bhattarai
12) ‘Green Table’ Subcommittee, Coordinator – Kanchan Jha
The subcommittees are expected to present initial outlines in the upcoming meeting. In addition, the meeting announced the formation of a five-member committee under Madhu Acharya’s chairmanship to draft the institute’s internal code of conduct.
