License Revoked for Central Exchange Counter

June 19, Kathmandu – Nepal Rastra Bank has revoked the license of Central Exchange Counter Pvt. Ltd., which was authorized to conduct foreign currency purchasing and selling. The central bank took this action after the company voluntarily requested to cancel its permission. The company, located in Ward No. 6 of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kaski, had ceased operations and submitted a request for license cancellation. This decision was made in accordance with Regulation 22 of the Nepal Rastra Bank’s Foreign Exchange License and Inspection Regulations 2020 (with the fourth amendment).

The board of directors of the central bank held a meeting on May 3, 2026, where they discussed the request submitted by Central Exchange Counter and resolved to revoke the license accordingly.
