Nepal School Football League Kicks Off from 23rd Jestha

The Nepal School Football League (NSFL) U-16 tournament is set to begin on 23rd Jestha. The competition will feature participation from eight teams and will be conducted under a double round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final. The winner will receive a prize of NPR 500,000, while the runner-up will be awarded NPR 250,000. Additionally, the best player will receive NPR 50,000.

Organized by the Thunderbolts Development Center, the Nepal School Football League (NSFL) U-16 tournament will commence on June 6 at the Thunderbolts Development Center located in Dhapakhel, Lalitpur. Eight teams will compete in this school-level event, including James School, DAV School, Kanjirawa School, Little Angels School, Rato Bangala School, Excelsior School, St. Xavier’s School, and Pathshala Nepal Foundation.

The tournament will follow a double round-robin system, with the top two teams competing for the title in the final match. The champion will be rewarded NPR 500,000, while the runner-up will receive NPR 250,000. Moreover, awards of NPR 50,000 each will be given to the highest goal scorer, best player, best goalkeeper, best coach, and fair play award recipients. This competition, exclusively for players under 16, is recognized as the largest school-level football tournament. Organizers believe that this event will play a significant role in nurturing young football talent.
