Nepali Congress Warns Ward Chairpersons of Disciplinary Action for Non-cooperation in Membership Renewal

The Nepali Congress has issued letters to all 6,743 ward committees across the country, instructing them to complete the renewal of active memberships by Jestha 21. Acting General Secretary Krishnaprasad Dulal directed the ward chairpersons to download the Nepali Congress app and update their membership information through it. A warning was issued stating that, in case of non-cooperation, alternative arrangements for the ward chairpersons will be made in accordance with party regulations, and details must be submitted to the central office.

On Jestha 6, Kathmandu — The Nepali Congress has tasked the ward committees with the responsibility of updating active membership records. Acting General Secretary Krishnaprasad Dulal sent letters to all 6,743 ward committees nationwide, instructing them to complete the active membership renewal process by Jestha 21. The letter requests, “Ward chairpersons are requested to download the Nepali Congress app from App Store or Google Play Store, log into the mobile app, and complete the active membership update by the stipulated date of Jestha 21.” Furthermore, the letter warns that non-cooperation in updating active membership will lead to alternative arrangements for the ward chairpersons as per party bylaws. It also states, “The details of ward chairpersons who fail to cooperate must be made available to the central office by the local committee.”
