Trump Remarks: Netanyahu is Not Being Treated Fairly in Israel

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not being treated properly within Israel. Trump claimed that his popularity in Israel stands at 99 percent and mentioned that he could even run for the prime ministerial election there. He also said the war with Iran would end soon and that Iran is willing to negotiate. Furthermore, he clearly stated that the U.S. would not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Kathmandu, May 21.

Trump made these comments while discussing the rising tensions and potential military action between the United States and Iran during a conversation with journalists. When asked about discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding a possible attack on Iran and future strategies, Trump replied that Netanyahu would act as per his guidance.

“He (Netanyahu) is a very good person. In my view, he is not being treated fairly in Israel. Currently, my popularity there is 99 percent. I could even run for the prime ministerial election there,” Trump said.

Trump reiterated his earlier claims that the conflict with Iran would soon end following detailed discussions with Netanyahu on the matter. “We are ending that war quickly. Iran is willing to make a deal. They are tired of this,” he stated. However, he made it clear that under no circumstances would the United States permit Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. According to reports, efforts are underway to reduce tensions and advance talks between the U.S. and Iran, while Israel continues to pursue a tough and aggressive approach against Iran.
