Bhuvan Nagarkoti Leads on Third Day of Surya Nepal Challenge

On the third day of the seventh tournament of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2025-26, known as the Surya Nepal Challenge, Bhuvan Nagarkoti took the lead with an overall score of 11-under 193. Today, he delivered an outstanding round of 3-under 65, which helped him move three strokes ahead of Shukra Bahadur Rai. Shukra Bahadur Rai is currently in second place with an overall score of 8-under 196. Yesterday, they were tied at the top of the leaderboard.

Sharing third place are Nepal’s number one golfer Niraj Tamang and Dhan Bahadur Thapa, both holding an overall score of 7-under 197. Niraj posted an exceptional 6-under 62 today, while Dhan finished with a 2-under 66 on the third day. A total of 52 players are competing in this event, with the total prize purse set at Rs 710,000. The winner is set to receive Rs 130,000.

Amateur Rahul Bishwakarma, along with professional golfers Rame Magar and Dinesh Prajapati, share fifth place with an overall score of 5-under 199. Rahul produced an impressive 3-under 65, while Rame and Dinesh both carded identical rounds of 2-under 66. Meanwhile, with an outstanding 6-under 62, Tank Bahadur Karki reached eighth place with an overall score of 4-under 200.

The four-day, 72-hole tournament is being organized by PGA Nepal and sponsored by Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. Fifty-two players are competing for the total prize fund of Rs 710,000. The runner-up and third-place finishers will receive Rs 90,000 and Rs 70,000 respectively.
