Madhesh Province Appoints UML’s Mohammad Samir as Minister; Three JSP Ministers Dismissed

Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav has appointed UML lawmaker Mohammad Samir as a minister without portfolio in Madhesh Province. This appointment follows the dismissal of three ministers from JSP Nepal by Chief Minister Yadav, who has subsequently assigned ministerial responsibilities to Samir. His oath-taking ceremony is expected to take place shortly today.
The current Madhesh government includes Rajkumar Gupta as Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Rani Sharma as Minister of Education and Culture, and Manish Suman as Minister of Labour and Transport. Chief Minister Yadav had requested their resignations in light of shifting power dynamics. However, after they refused to resign, he decided to dismiss them and appoint new ministers.
Meanwhile, two ministers from the Janamat Party have already submitted their resignations.
