Eight Armed Police Trainees Faint During Training in Kailali, Five Airlifted for Treatment

In Tikapur, Kailali, eight armed police trainees fainted during their training. Among them, five are in serious condition and have been airlifted by helicopter to Surkhet for treatment. These individuals are undergoing basic training to become armed police personnel. The incident occurred on May 21 in Kathmandu.
The trainees who fainted include Jawans Balbahadur Basnet, Ganesh Rawat, Manbahadur Basnet, Chinbahadur Thami, Kiranath Yogi, Dhiraj Thapa, Suresh Shahi, and Bhupendra Basnet. According to Shailendra Thapa, the spokesperson for the Armed Police Force, five of the affected trainees are in critical condition. These five were evacuated by helicopter for medical treatment in Surkhet.
The trainees collapsed while undergoing their program at the Armed Police Force’s Revenue Customs and Industrial Training School located in Tikapur. All of them are basic training candidates for armed police personnel.
