Pakistani Prime Minister Congratulates Trump on Success in West Asia Peace Talks

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated US President Donald Trump for successfully advancing efforts to establish peace in West Asia. Shehbaz highlighted on the social media platform X the productive discussions Trump held with leaders from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, and Pakistan. Pakistan has expressed its commitment to continuing peace efforts and hopes to convene another meeting soon.
May 24, Kathmandu — Amid ongoing tensions in West Asia, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to US President Donald Trump for his peace-building efforts. Writing on X, the Prime Minister said, “I congratulate President Donald Trump on his efforts to establish peace. This morning, he held fruitful telephone conversations with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, Jordan, and Pakistan.”
According to the Pakistani Prime Minister, Field Marshal Asim Munir represented Pakistan in these discussions. Shehbaz also praised Munir’s continuous hard work. “These talks provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on the current regional situation and to advance peace initiatives,” he added. “Pakistan will continue its peace efforts with complete sincerity and hopes to organize another meeting soon.”
Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Tehran, Iran’s capital, on Friday, where he also held talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
