Nepalese Team Prepared to Compete in 22nd U-20 Asian Athletics Championship in Hong Kong

An eight-member Nepalese delegation, including five athletes, is set to depart on Tuesday to participate in the 22nd U-20 Asian Athletics Championship scheduled to take place in Hong Kong from May 28 to 31. The team will see three male and two female athletes competing across various events.
On Monday, Ramcharitra Mehta, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, bid farewell to the Nepalese athletics team during a send-off ceremony, wishing them success. Among the men, Badal Karki will compete in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters races, while Praveen Rana will participate in the 100 meters sprint. On the women’s side, Anushka Adhikari will run in the 100 meters and 200 meters events, Narayani Bhandari will take part in the 800 meters and 1500 meters races, and Sangita Bik will compete in the 400 meters and 800 meters events.
For training and management, Ram Bahadur Oli has been appointed as coach, with Gajbahadur Gurung and Dilbahadur Bam overseeing team management.
