May 24, Janakpurdham – A woman was fatally struck by a train on the Janakpur-Jaynagar railway line. The incident occurred at 5:32 PM on Monday, approximately 600 meters east of Baidehi Station in Dhanusha Bideha Municipality–9, as the train was traveling from Jaynagar towards Janakpur.
According to Madhusudhan Nyaupane, spokesperson for Dhanusha Police, the approximately 30-year-old woman suffered fatal head injuries after being hit by the train at the accident site. The Dhanusha District Police Office has stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Police have also reported that the identity of the deceased woman has not yet been established.
