
May 25, Janakpur Dham – The Madhesh Province government has expanded its Council of Ministers. On the recommendation of Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav, Province Chief Surendra Labh Karn has appointed five new ministers to their respective posts. Yuvraj Bhattarai from the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has been appointed Minister of Finance, Mohammad Samir from UML as Minister of Physical Infrastructure, Sharadadevi Thapa as Minister of Labor and Transport, Lakhandas as Minister of Youth and Social Welfare, and Manoj Singh as Minister of Education and Culture. Additionally, Nagendra Shah from the Congress party has been appointed Minister of Health, replacing Jungle Lal Rai who previously held the position and has been removed. The newly appointed ministers took their oath of office and secrecy today.
