Morocco has announced its final squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Despite injury concerns, captain Achraf Hakimi has been included in the lineup, whereas former Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has been left out. Ranked eighth in the world, Morocco will begin its World Cup campaign on June 19 against Scotland.
Achraf Hakimi was sidelined for some time after sustaining an injury during the Champions League semifinal match against Bayern Munich in April. However, he has secured a place in the World Cup squad. The team also features key players such as Noussair Mazraoui, Issa Diop, Brahim Diaz, Sofyan Amrabat, and Bilal El Khannous.
Morocco is placed in Group C, where they will compete against Scotland, Brazil, and Haiti in the group stage. Their opening match is scheduled for June 19 against Scotland. The squad includes goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, Munir Mohamedi, Ahmed Tagnaouti, defender Noussair Mazraoui, Achraf Hakimi, and midfielder Samir El Mouarabt, among others.
