Gagan Thapa Calls for Responsible Role from All on Republic Day

14 Jestha, Kathmandu – Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged everyone to play a responsible role from their respective positions to protect and further strengthen the federal democratic republic. In his Republic Day 2083 greetings message, President Thapa emphasized the importance of preserving and reinforcing the significant historical achievements attained through the sacrifices, dedication, and commitment of the Nepali people.

Recalling the tremendous sacrifices, struggles, and dedication of the Nepali people that led to the successful completion of the 2062/63 People’s Movement and the establishment of the republic, Thapa stressed the necessity of institutional strengthening of the governance system. He expressed his vision to fortify this system and transform Nepal into a civilized, prosperous, happy, and advanced nation.

Thapa expressed confidence that Republic Day would inspire and energize all Nepalis in the shared journey to build a just and equitable society rooted in democratic values, beliefs, customs, and culture. Likewise, Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe also conveyed his greetings, stating that only through the protection of the constitution and the strengthening of the federal democratic governance system can Nepal become a civilized, prosperous, happy, and advanced nation.
