15th Jestha, Kathmandu – The third edition of the Asian E-Learning JaykumarNath Shah Memorial U-16 Inter School Cricket Tournament, organized by the Kathmandu District Cricket Association, is scheduled to commence on 19th Jestha.

During a ceremony held at Hotel Smart, Dhumbarahi, the tournament dates were announced, the trophy unveiled, and sponsorship agreements finalized with the main sponsor.

The competition will run from 19th to 25th Jestha across the Lower Mulpani, Upper Mulpani, and Tribhuvan University cricket grounds. A total of 24 schools will participate, divided into eight groups.

The top team from each group will progress to the quarterfinals. Secretary Kiran Rana stated that the champions will be awarded NPR 150,000, while the runners-up will receive NPR 75,000.

All matches will follow the T20 format, Technical Director Ravindra Gupta noted. The ‘Player of the Match’ and category-wise best players will receive attractive prizes from Lakar Room.

The tournament’s main sponsor is the Asian E-Learning Center. Co-sponsors include E-Seva, Associate Sponsor Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Limited, and Prabhu Bank Limited.

During the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Meena Tripathi Limbu, Director of the Asian E-Learning Center, and Divakar Ghaley, President of the Kathmandu District Cricket Association. Similarly, an agreement was signed between Hana Gurung, Market Manager of E-Seva, and Ghaley.

Additional support for the tournament comes from Shangri-La Development Bank Limited, Everest Bank Limited, Dark Fantasy Choco Rolls, Ayush International Overseas Services Pvt. Ltd., Pick Point Academy, Galaxy Public School, Garima Development Bank Limited, Siddhartha Premium Insurance Limited, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited, DAV School, Yeti Airlines, Lakar Room, Himalayan Bank Limited, Extreme Energy Drink, Hope Hospital, and Local Thakali.

Group ‘A’ comprises DAV Sushil Kedia Bishwo Bharti School, Nexus International Academy, and Radiant Readers School. Group ‘B’ includes Military Residential College, Triyog Higher Secondary School, and Creative Academy.

Group ‘C’ features Galaxy Public School, Himalayan White House IB World School, and KMC School, while Group ‘D’ contains Angels Heart National School, Gyan Mandir Secondary English School, and API School.

Group ‘E’ has Mokshada School, Wisdom English Academy, and Clinton School. Group ‘F’ consists of Ratna Rajya Secondary School, Akshara School, and Sanskriti International School.

Group ‘G’ includes James School, Aksharika School, and Liverpool Secondary School. Group ‘H’ features Nepal Police School, The Celebration Coeducational School, and Pick Point Academy.
