Prime Minister Oli Announces Government’s Plan to Hold Provincial and Local Elections Simultaneously

May 29, Kathmandu – KP Sharma Oli, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), informed party activists that the government is actively working towards conducting provincial and local elections at the same time. He shared this information via his personal social media account. Oli stated, ‘The current government and the Election Commission are preparing to hold the Provincial Assembly and local level elections simultaneously.’ However, despite this development, some factions within the UML are reportedly disappointed and considering dissent. Oli emphasized the need to transform this discouragement among party workers into hope.
