Nepal School Sports Federation and Bridge International Sign Cooperation Agreement

Nepal School Sports Federation and Bridge International have signed a cooperation agreement to promote school sports and higher education. According to the agreement, Bridge will provide scholarships to two students recommended by the Federation for studying Sports Science at Tribhuvan University. The Nepal School Sports Federation (NSSF) and Bridge International Consultancy and Migration have partnered to promote school sports and higher education. The agreement was signed during an event held on Sunday at the National Sports Council (NSC) in Tripureshwor. The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Federation’s General Secretary Rajkumar Karki and Bridge International Consultancy’s director Bhuvan Giri.
The agreement focuses on developing school sports, promoting education programs related to sports, expanding scholarship opportunities, and enhancing access to international educational prospects. Both organizations share a common goal to make school-level sports more organized, competitive, and effective. Under the agreement, Bridge will provide scholarships for postgraduate studies in Sports Science to two students recommended by the NSSF at Tribhuvan University.
The scholarships will be awarded to one male and one female student. Each scholar will receive a scholarship worth approximately NPR 238,000 for four semesters. The NSSF will be responsible for selecting and recommending qualified and talented students. Scholarship distribution will be conducted according to the rules and policies of the respective educational institution. The agreement also prioritizes cooperation in sponsorship and the organization of sports programs.
Bridge has agreed to act as the title sponsor for the annual sports competitions organized by the NSSF. It will also collaborate in organizing inter-school sports competitions and programs at district, provincial, and national levels. Competitions such as Games, Cups, Combat Games, and the School Premier League (SPL) will involve joint cooperation. Bridge will provide sports equipment, uniforms, and various resources needed for educational and sports activities, as stated in the agreement. This partnership is considered a significant achievement in the field of school sports and sports education.
The agreement is expected to enhance access to higher education for talented student-athletes and contribute to the sustainable development of school sports in Nepal. General Secretary Rajkumar Karki praised Bridge’s support for creating opportunities for students to study within the country. Bridge director Bhuvan Giri stated that this collaboration enables students not only to study abroad but also to pursue higher education domestically, and that Bridge has previously worked toward the development of Nepalese sports.
