
Algeria has announced its 26-member squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with Riyad Mahrez named as captain. The team includes goalkeeper Luca Zidane, son of World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane, as well as fit players Houssem Aouar and Amin Guiri. Algeria is placed in Group J and will commence its World Cup campaign on June 16 against defending champions Argentina.
The Algerian squad also features experienced defender Aissa Mandi, midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, along with the recovered Houssem Aouar and Amin Guiri. Goalkeeper Luca Zidane, son of the legendary Zinedine Zidane, is part of the team. Algeria will open its group stage against Argentina.
