Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association’s Executive Committee Dissolved; Directed to Convene Special General Assembly

The current executive committee of the Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association has been automatically dissolved following the resignation of the majority of its office bearers. This situation arose because two-thirds of the officials resigned in protest against the leadership style of the association’s president, Bhuvansingh Gurung. The Kathmandu District Administration Office has instructed the Management Committee to convene a special general assembly and proceed with the next steps.

The District Administration Office stated that according to the association’s bylaws, the executive committee is automatically dissolved, and the Management Committee, formed by the Advisory Committee, has been directed to move forward with the upcoming processes. The administration informed via correspondence that the resignation of the majority of the executive members led to the dissolution of the committee.

Pursuant to Article 2(9) of the association’s bylaws, more than two-thirds of the officials tendered their resignations. Based on this, the dissolution of the executive committee has been confirmed. Following this, the Management Committee was established according to the decision of the Advisory Committee. The administration has instructed the Management Committee to convene a special general assembly to advance the proceedings.

The administration has issued a warning that no one should obstruct this procedural process. If any actions contrary to the directives occur, immediate notification to the District Administration Office has been requested.
