
Police have arrested 32 individuals from various regions of the country on charges of involvement in illegal drug trafficking. Confiscated from those arrested were brown heroin, cannabis, and prescription-controlled drugs that require mandatory medical authorization. Kathmandu, 20 Jestha.
During routine patrols, police apprehended 32 people along with illegal drugs from various locations nationwide. According to the Central Police News Desk, the arrests include 9 individuals from Chitwan, 4 each from Jhapa and Morang, 3 each from Bhaktapur and Nawalparasi, 2 each from Kathmandu and Rupandehi, and 1 each from Tanahun, Rasuwa, Dang, Sindhuli, and Siraha.
The arrested individuals were found in possession of illegal brown heroin and cannabis, as well as prescription drugs such as Tramadol, Tapentadol, Nitrazepam, and Spasmol, which cannot be purchased without a doctor’s prescription.
